BUsy busy buSy !!!!... i swear this is the longest time since i did my last entry in my blog ... work practically everyday till very very late .... apparently im so worn out ... and so coincidentally my client postpone out appt to next week ! if not i won't be back here again ! hooooray .. im giving myself a break .... im not working this weekend !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and yes ! today i will be doing two desserts instead of one ... well it's actually the same thing but just different flavors and presentation ..
got this book on home baking from times bookshop yesterday ...and it inspires me for the desserts im working on today ... =)
** featuring** here ... SCONES ....
let's see what's needed for today ...
INGREDIENTS self raising flour
caster sugar
baking powder
milk
butter
vanilla extract
hershey's choc syrup
cream cheese
hershey's milk choc
fresh oranges
fresh strawberries
icing sugar ( for dusting )
introducing my 3 main new ingredients for the desserts today ...
( a ) cream cheese ( b ) hershey's choc syrup ( b ) vanilla extract sift the self raising flour , caster sugar , butter , baking powder , milk , and vanilla extract into a large bowl and make it into a dough ..
for orange scones , to most convenience , you can always use artificial orange flavoring which is available in most supermarket but i wanted it to be taste more citrus and fresh hence i use fresh orange juice as the main flavoring ... it applies same as for the chocolates scones too
pour the freshly squeeze orange juices in the dough and mix ... next ... cut the size of about 3 inches for the orange scone ...
add chopped chocolate to the dough and mix thoroughly .. , roll out the dough to about thickness of 2-4 cm and cut out small round scones with cutter ...
preheat the oven to 220 degree .. lightly grease the baking tray with butter and bake for about 10 - 15 mins ..
while waiting for the scones to be fuly bake .. can start preparing to garnish ...
for dressing , i'm using hershey's chocolate syrup .. just pour to your desire direction ..

The strawberry scones definitely look good. I always find it hard to bake and take pics at the same time, because flour will get on my camera.
Anyway, since u design for spaces, shouldn't there be more photos of your works as well? =)

OMG...her blog is really superb, classic but complicated for most people to follow... more for people who study in cooking sch to use her recipe for application... but she got the ability to make me envy and drool definitely!

Anyway i saw your latest entry about eating at bedok area... that place is called as Sampang Bedok... food is very nice and lots of ppl (i was one of them last time) go there for supper.
There is another place called Bedok 85 where its opposite bedok police station where its famous for its minced meat noodles, porridge, stingray etc... open until 2-3am daily!
hey felicia ... really rite ! shes so awesome .. if i can be half as good as hers i will be very contented .. hmm yup .. that place is sampang bedok very good supper place haha .. yup bedok 85 i went before also nice nice yummy!
