anyway after whipping up my regular baking creations of mine in the last few entries , it seems quite a while since i last did a cooking entry hence today i will be working on a starter dish , considering something light and hearty bite too ... so without delay let's check out what duncan did in this afternoon today ... =p
as usual to start ...
INGREDIENTS Fish fillet ( boneless )
potato
tomatoes
aspharagus
spring onions
tomato sauce
salt
black pepper
all purpose season
flour
butter
olive oil
parsley flakes
basil leaves

for better visual appeal , i carefully cut the fillet into square cubes and potato into rectangular cubes respectively ..i am absolutely infatuated marinating with all purpose season , salt and black pepper! perfectly for fish ... ( for about 30 mins ) very basic taste but yet results are excellent .. next , lightly coat it wth flour before frying ...
For chips ...
i emphasize this thickness as i felt that it will turn out tastier and crunchier .. just add a little salt to taste and coat lightly with flour and fried till lightly golden brown ...
for the fillet cubes , pan fry till lightly brown as well ...
As for tomato dressing ..
pour olive oil on the heated pan follow by chopped tomatoes , parsley flakes , basil leaves and black pepper . let it simmer for 2 mins before serving ... ( optional to pour appropriate amount of water if it turns out too dry )

PAN FRIED FILLET AND CHIPS WITH TOMATO DRESSING
as i always mention .. i 'm into things that are sophisticated yet uncomplicated .. for my recipe has been devised with this very mantra in mind ... hopefully i'm creating in the same vein that are " user friendly " and preparing without fuss.. =) and most importantly astonishing results !
so baking or cooking ? lol ..
