Company D&D 08'

My company annual D&D is here again !
this time round they wrapped up the function @ YORK HOTEL
and theme was RED & BLACK FANTASY

i've been singing at my company D&D for 4 consecutive years in the competition but this time round they made an arrangement for only last year top 3 winners to sing , which mean it's no longer a stressful competition anymore ! lol
however i'm pretty bad at remembering lyrics hence i spend the whole afternoon to memorize what i can before i made a fool of myself .. haha ..


the dinner suppose to start at 7pm
but i reach at 6pm for my rehearsal ...
so freaking nervous =/

as usual , they start with " yu sheng " for the first dish !

After a talk show
i'm the first to sing !! .. -_-"'


this is definitely nerve wrecking !!! ..

next , we had the phenomenon drag show by KUMAR

and of cuz there were also " typical " games sessions too .. ha



we have our very own micheal jackson too !! lol

this year is pretty special to me cuz im awarded long service award by my company .. haha sounds old ... i'm not that really old !!!! lol , its a 5 yrs service award .. anyway how time flies .. i'm already " married " to my company for 5 long yrs wowwwwwww.... =)

1st baking of 08'

hello everyone ...
i'm back with baking again !
first of all would really like to thank you guys for your wonderful suggestions in the previous entry .. however i came up a new creation today , hope you guys love it !

let's check out the ingredients needed..


INGREDIENTS

3 naval oranges
1 1/4 cups of icing sugar
1 cup of ground almonds ( optional )
110g ( 40 z ) soft butter
2-3 egg whites
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
110g ( 40z ) caster sugar
110g ( 40 z ) all purpose flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder
100ml of milk


1 . sift all purpose flour , baking powder , vanilla essence , egg whites, caster sugar , butter , and milk into a bowl

2 . Add orange juice and chopped orange flesh into the batter and mix thoroughly ..

3. carefully spoon the batter mixture into the mould tray to within two- third of the top

4. preheat the oven to 350 degree and bake for about 25 mins till well risen and firm to touch

5. meanwhile .. zest rind from remaining oranges then juice . place zest , juice and icing sugar into a saucepan . cook over low heat , stirring for 5 minutes or until mixture comes to the boil . reduce heat to low . simmer for 5 minutes or until mixture thickens slightly . allow to cool ..



Leave it to cool on the tray for about 10 mins
